'Shaping a sustainable future'

The 9th European Congress of Chemical Engineering (ECCE9) will be held in The Hague from 21 to 24 April 2013. The theme will be: “Shaping a sustainable future: a Partnership of Academia, Industry and Society”.

"Organizers expect around 2300 academic researchers and industrial professionals."

The following conferences will be an integral part of the congress:

  • ECAB2, the 2nd European Congress of Applied Biotechnology
  • EPIC2013, the European Process Intensification Conference
  • NPS 12, the annual congress of ISPT, the Institute for Sustainable Process Technology, jointly with NPT
  • KNCV annual congress, the Royal Dutch Chemical Society (to be confirmed)

ECCE9 promises to have a comprehensive programme covering all subjects relevant to process technology. Plenary lectures by renowned speakers will provide overviews of important aspects of the congress theme, such as renewable feed stocks, sustainable value chains, green novel product-process combinations, biotechnology and process intensification.

High-quality presentations

Each day, high-quality presentations over 18 parallel sessions will provide latest research and development results and industrial applications. Several special events will be organized for students, such as a poster competition, a rapid presentation competition and a design competition. Lunches, dinners and evening programs will provide opportunities for socializing and networking. A large industrial exhibition will also be part of the congress, where delegates will be able to learn about the latest practical developments in their field.

The best European Chemical Engineering Congress in history

The aim of the organizers is for this to be the best in the history of European Chemical Engineering Congresses and expect around 2300 academic researchers and industrial professionals to attend this congress in order to strengthen their partnership to shape a sustainable future.
