Workshop NWO-CW grant information: Increasing your success rate
Monday April 22 - 16.45-17.30
This workshop is especially interesting for young dutch researchers and for International researchers who are willing to come to the Netherlands.
NWO offers various granting opportunities for researchers in all stages of their career. In this workshop, we will give some general information about the available grants at NWO. The workshop will be given by a NWO programme manager. You can ask all that you want to know about our grants and the granting procedure: What is important when applying for a grant? What role does NWO have in the procedure? How do I prepare for interviews? What is important for the assessment committee?
Getting curious? For more information, you can already have a look the programme page of the Vernieuwingsimpuls.
As a research council, NWO's task is to advance the quality of scientific research in the Netherlands: from literature to astronomy and from earth sciences to sociology. NWO also encourages the outcomes of scientific progress being used for society's benefit. NWO effects this through clear ambitions for science policy based on its strategy for 2011-2014.NWO's vision is to work together with these stakeholders on the growth of scientific knowledge, knowledge that will genuinely benefit society both now and in the future.
Scientific research and innovation form the basis of our wealth and well-being in the Netherlands. NWO determines its policy in consultation with social partners, government and scientists.
NWO seeks to realize its ambitions in two ways: by funding scientific research on a competitive basis, and through the efforts and facilities of the strong national institutes it manages.
